This is one of the most-played cards, never mind ramp pieces, in Commander, so its inclusion here makes sense
Having sat down to watch this movie everyone seems to love, I understand the cult following, but the quality of this Secret Lair seems to be leaning way too heavily on peoples love of the movie without offering anything that exciting for the actual Magic players purchasing this product
Tutors help a lot in that department
(Springleaf Drum costs one, and then we can immediately use it to make a mana to gain back the mana that we spend to cast it.) While nowhere near as explosive as Mox Opal, Springleaf Drum still facilitates some explosive starts where we can play a zero-drop like Memnite or Ornithopter on Turn 1, follow it up with Springleaf Drum, tap our summoning-sick zero-drop to make a mana, and then play something like Bomat Courier or Signal Pest, adding three cheap artifacts to the battlefield on Turn 1, which we can then hopefully follow up with a payoff like Arcbound Ravager or Steel Overseer on Turn 2
If I start seeing any movement in these cards as Modern season approaches I wont hesitate to pick them up
